Pre-screening hints
- We'll add another director to the two timers list.
- The director was reluctant to cast his lead because of the star's mouth, he described it as "rectal". In addition, he gave the actor a written list of his own "acting clichés" to avoid.
- A visionary architect sued the studio after recognizing that the film's interrogation room set was based one on his drawings from 1987. The director admitted he'd seen the drawing and the architect won a high six-figure settlement but allowed the scenes to remain in the film.
- The studio had just suffered massive cost overruns on Waterworld, making them extremely budget-cautious. To get this film greenlit at $29.5 million, the lead star took a significant pay cut from his usual rate. Maybe he was just embarrassed by his rectal mouth.
